Weather: 65 and sunny. Course: Flat, but many turns
We ran against Dondero on Thursday, Sept. 30 and it was a great day for a race! 65 degrees on a mostly shaded and flat course made for some PRs despite the large amounts of concrete (for those wearing spikes) and the many sharp turns(though not nearly as bad as our home course). The meet was controlled by 10th graders who went 1-2 in both races. In the girls race we didn't do terribly well against the strong Dondero team however several girls still PR'd. In the boys race Steve Mance took advantage of the large amounts of concrete by wearing racing flats to win in his fastest dual meet time ever. Terry Monette took 3rd, not quite catching Dondero's Matt Klaver, and ran his fastest dual meet time of the year despite having trouble with his spikes. Both teams take on Dondero at the Oakland County Inv. at Kensington Metropark but first the boys race against Bishop Borgess on Monday.
